Rachel Cohen, MA, LPCC
I became a therapist because I believe in the power of collaboration and building positive relationships. I love working with teenagers and young adults to help them gain confidence in their selves and their surroundings.
I do my best work with teens who are struggling with self-esteem and life changes. I also work with teenagers and young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, or trauma.
Through my work doing in-home individual and family therapy, as well as working with individuals who have experienced trauma, I have gained knowledge in working with several different populations, including clients who struggle with addictions, self-harming, and high-risk behaviors.
- I have a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Denver.
- I have trainings in Suicidality, Trust Based Relation Interventions, and Trauma based Interventions.
- I have experience and training using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.
I love working with teens to...
help them explore who they are and what they are passionate about. I value creating a positive and safe relationship with my clients in order to provide a space where they are able to share and grow within themselves and their relationships.
When I'm not working with clients...
I am spending time with my partner and my Black Lab and love being outdoors hiking, skiing, or camping. I also enjoy going to live concerts and spending time with friends and family.
